Saarland: United against Discrimination

During today's debate in the Saarland parliament, all members present have voted for a discrimination protection for gays and lesbians. Unanimously and cross-party contact, therefore all the 51 politicians for equal rights for homosexuals. Without a dissenting vote or abstention, the constitutional amendment adopted and passed to the appropriate committee.

The state constitution of Saarland is now extended with a new rule of equal treatment. Among other things, the terms "sexual identity" will soon be laid out in black and white.
The equality is partnered civil servants have been decided today. They will receive retroactive to the first of July 2009 now known as "Married surcharge ".

The signal from the Saarland, sexual orientation is no longer seen as a restriction criterion must now still in the national representatives of the CDU and FDP in the Bundestag impress. This had previously contained any demands or they refused.
