The last discriminatory difference between marriage and same-sex civil partnerships in England is set to fall

Until now the UK's determination that same-sex partnerships (civil partnerships) may be closed only in public buildings in the presence of a registrar. A partnering in religious institutions were expressly prohibited. This last provision is discriminatory fall now, as the British Home Secretary said.

According to Interior Minister, Theresa May, the conservative-liberal British government wanted to eliminate the last major difference between the marriages among heterosexuals and gleichgeschlechtichen Partnerships (Civil Partnership). Of course the final decision lay with the churches, whether they also declare their willingness to believe homosexual couples. A definite no well-likely to come from the Roman Catholic Church.
