NPD Councilman found guilty of assault

The district court sentenced Dortmund NPD Axel Thieme councilor on Tuesday to pay a fine of 1200 €. Thieme also must assume the legal costs and expenses of the five witnesses called. Thieme announced to the media already that his attorney will file an appeal.

Background of the court ruling is an assault on a student on the edge of Christopher Street Day on 29 August 2009.
