„Mamma Macchiato“, a musical about Berlin's Prenzlauer Berg

For years, we laugh in the theater Soap Wedding, "Good Wedding, Wedding bad" over the bar sipping Prenzlwichser. The fun with itself will be located in the district can no longer take and now shows the musical, which earned the Prenzlauer Berg: "Mamma macchiato" - the title suggests something about the central "business idea" that is negotiated in the play - is the fourth in-house production of the newly established stem cell formation in a short time. Fall in the young team to the author and composer Tom van Hasselt with a full-bodied motto: Musical must be rewritten - which means above all: Get rid of all knick-knacks and focus on the narrative of history.

Demonstrative 'Equipment' and rudimentary costumes... a white T-shirt - - Despite the simple means has "Mamma machhiato" anything that makes a good musical: a viable story, interesting secondary lines, colorful characters, snappy songs. In the three-member ensemble stands out especially the versatility of Melanie Haupt, such as proletarian Macho Frank forth. The final Shakespeare embodiments can then return almost all the protagonists as a corpse and explicitly celebrates the victory of evil. "Mamma Macchiato" is not a work for eternity. But it creates, the current reality of a social milieu ("We have modern role models - and a cleaning lady") to play sarcastic and humorous way. All this is no fear of the limits of a "good" taste.

You can watch the musical at Maschinenhaus der Kulturbrauerei on March 8th, 14th, 15th, 28thand April 4th.
