Deprivation against registered partnerships in Vorarlberg is denial of reality

Peter Traschkowitsche chairman of the Vienna SoHo (social democracy and homosexuality), was found on Wednesday against the press service of the SPÖ horrified by the disadvantages of partnerships registered in the Vorarlberg State Employees Act. "The law provides that state and local officials in a registered partnership can only care leave or family care leave for children take the partner, if a parent for the care and attention is available. This is a scandalous discrimination is against marriage partners and communities, "said Traschkowitsch.

ÖVP and the FPÖ have rejected an amendment of the Vorarlberg SPÖ, which local and state officials may independently assume the availability of a parent the care of the child. Traschkowitsch "the Vorarlberg ÖVP operates denial of reality. It can not be that the implementation of the Registered Partnership Act, which purports to be a step forward for homosexual couples, leads to discrimination against same-sex and cohabitation. This shows that the ÖVP and FPÖ are only interested in making life difficult for gay couples. "The SoHo-chairman calls for urgent changes to such laws in favor of passage of registered partnerships.
