Lithuania wants to prohibit physicians from performing sex change operations.

While it has been decided in Portugal, a law to change the name and gender in the civil partnership that allows transgender future without compulsory divorce, changing hormonal treatment or surgical operation, the name and sex, these kinds of operations in Lithuania prohibited in the future explicitly be.

The adopted law in Portugal is therefore fully in line with the so-called Yogyakarta Principles (Note: A medical diagnosis is still required).
