Lising Pagenstecher was born on 29.07.1930 in Cologne-Lilienthal. After graduating in Modern History, she did research for 25 years in the areas of youth, family and women at the German Youth Institute in Munich and focused - not least because of their own search for identity - even with the sex research. The discovery of prejudice, the specific forms of discrimination and the encouragement of lesbians to a confident, open way of life were present key issues. Pagenstecher was her coming-out in the early 70's, their scientific work and commitment in the lesbian movement to one of the most famous lesbians in Munich.
